For a long time, I have been a child sponsor with World Vision. I have also spoken about sponsoring children at many past events. In 2004, I had the privilege of traveling to El Salvador to visit two World Vision projects established by Canadian sponsorships. It was amazing to see just how much the little that we can give can help the poor, the hungry and the sick.

Helping a child have enough food to eat, clean water, a chance to go to school and medical care means far more to them than what it could ever mean to us. For them, it's a matter of life or death.

We have, we give-they have, they LIVE.

Please click on the World Vision banner and sponsor a child today, or visit www.worldvision.ca for more information. Thanks for giving.

Boost Up!

I recently came across a website where people can leave encouragements to high school students to stay in school and make it to graduation day. Having worked in the school system for a few years, I know how valuable these "boosts" can be. It doesn't cost anything but a bit of time and a few kind words, but I think these kids need our support and to know that someone out there is thinking of them. Check it out! www.boostup.org

Song for Africa!

This organization is run by a friend of mine, Darcy Ataman, who daily puts all of his energy and resources into helping kids in Africa. Please check out his organization and see if there is any way you can support him...He's a great guy working for a great cause. www.songforafrica.com
